Martellus Bennett will not go to the White House as is customary for Super Bowl winners. Why? Because “I don’t support the guy that’s in the house.”
Bennett said shortly after the Patriot’s win “I haven’t thought about it. I am not going to go. I can elaborate later on in life; right now I am just trying to enjoy this … People know how I feel about it, just follow me on Twitter.”

It’s a shame that a professional athlete, someone in the capacity to shape the minds and convictions of others, would choose to be immature and divisive like this. It’s certainly Bennett’s right not to attend, but it’s quite hypocritical to call someone divisive and then hold yourself out of an event for political reasons. That, in and of itself, is divisive.
