Ann Romney made a surprising appearance on NBC’s “Today” and was asked about her husband and former Presidential Nominee Mitt Romney’s chances of becoming Secretary of State a couple of month’s back.

“I thought Mitt would have been terrific and we were very seriously considering it,” she said. “I think he was very seriously being considered.”
“For Mitt to be able to shape foreign affairs would have been a very significant role for him and I know he would have accepted it if he had been asked,” she said.

When asked if President Trump was only out for revenge as some had speculated, Ms. Romney remarked with the following.

“It was very serious,” she said. “I don’t ever for a moment think that was the case.”

Mitt Romney outed himself as a “nevertrumper” and it’s probably better that President Trump went in a different direction.
