Jay Sekulow stopped by Hannity last night to discuss the comments made by former Obama Administration official Evelyn Farkas on the Morning Joe Show Wednesday morning. Farkas told the panel that she and other Obama officials had received classified information on the Trump campaign and attempted to disseminate that information via  leaks in order to preserve it for future use against the Trump Administration.

Farkas: I was urging my former colleagues, and, and frankly speaking the people on the Hill [Democrat politicians], it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can – get as much intelligence as you can – before President Obama leaves the administration.
Because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior [Obama] people who left; so it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy, um, that the Trump folks – if they found out HOW we knew what we knew about their, the Trump staff, dealing with Russians – that they would try to compromise those sources and methods; meaning we no longer have access to that intelligence.

So I became very worried because not enough was coming out into the open and I knew that there was more. We have very good intelligence on Russia; so then I had talked to some of my former colleagues and I knew that they were also trying to help get information to [Democrat politicians].

Sekulow, an attorney and Chief Counsel for the American Center for Law & Justice made an interesting point:

Jay Sekulow: At the time that she [Farkas] said that she was made aware of the intelligence she was no longer an employee of the State Department. So what you have to ask the first thing a lawyer would ask if why would a former employee find out about this information if she was gone? Number two, we were concerned about the Obama administration involved in this would be known by the Trump administration. Well, guess what? The Trump administration. Well guess what? The president of the United States is Donald Trump.

Why would a former government employee receive classified information? It’s a felony and Ms Farkas should face the full brunt of the law.

The case against the Obama Administration continues to grow. Both the House and Senate Intel Committees should be looking into Farkas’s statements and calling her to testify about what she knows regarding spying on the Trump team.
