The mainstream media is a cunning entity. They are experts at distorting reality.
In a Georgia Special Election in the House of Representatives for the succession of Tom Price’s seat, the media praised and cheered for Democrat Jon Ossoff for the past couple of weeks. On election night, Mr. Ossoff faced 12 Republican opponents and couldn’t get to the required 50% of the vote to force a victory and the media considered that a loss for the Republicans. Is this real life?
The hysteria was quelled by our Commander in Chief as he tweeted the reality of the situation this morning:
Just look at the headlines being run and you would have thought that this was a one on one race that the democrats dominated. The reality is that now that a Republican, Karen Handel, has consolidated the Republican ticket in the race, it should be an easy win.
Jon Ossoff, in a weird quasi-victory speech last night, almost seemed to concede that point. It almost appears that he knows he’s going to lose which prompted him to claim a moral victory saying “we may not know the outcome for some time, but let me tell you this… there is no doubt that this is already a victory for the ages. That no matter what the outcome is tonight, whether we take it all or whether we fight on, we have defied the odds, we have shattered expectations.”
Imagine one of your coaches giving you that pep talk when you were down at halftime. Not very promising.
